Welcome, fellow Victims of college football! Welcome, faithful supporters of doomed teams that will never play for a National Championship! Welcome, students, alumni, athletes and despairing, neglected fans who have been stranded outside the Circle of Privilege known as the Bowl Championship Series! Welcome!

BCSVICTIMS.COM™ is a place of refuge for the millions of Non-BCS (don’t you just HATE that title?) fans. A place of hope. We understand your pain because we share it, and we are determined to make things better for all who love this game, but who despise its administration. We have the solution, and we know that we can depend on you to help us carry through on a successful execution of that plan.

YOU'RE A VICTIM! IT'S TIME YOU ACTED LIKE ONE!

This is not the first anti-BCS website, but it is our sincere hope and surest conviction that it will be the last. We are mindful of the reality that others have tried, and failed, to have an impact. But while their intentions were well-placed and their actions no doubt sincere, their proposed solutions were, even in their genesis, hopelessly flawed. Fortunately, ours cannot help but succeed.

Permit us to explain:

REAL ACTION v. VAIN ACTIVITY

Briefly, there have already been two fundamental efforts to address our shared plight: 1. An attempted boycott of the BCS, and 2. A push to gather signatures for an Anti-BCS petition. Now, here are the simple reasons why they didn't (and can't) work:

BOYCOTT

We are not invited to the ball. The table has been sumptuously set for another party of diners. How do we refuse an offer that was never extended? We can't. They offer the scraps, and we eat them hungrily. Boycott all you like. They can't hear you over the belching din of their own gluttony.

PETITION

Petitions are cute, aren't they? They're a very democratic way to hopefully earn a few glances from some politician as they hustle between hustles. One problem: Capitol Hill ALREADY KNOWS about the current debacle in college football. STEVE YOUNG has taken our fight before a SENATE COMMITTEE. Hall-of-Fame coach Lavell Edwards has plead our case in suit and tie, but to no avail. Good luck with that petition!

It's not a matter of awareness. It's a function of an abundance of money and an absence of shame. They keep us out because they can, not because nobody realizes that they are. Look at those stadiums filled to bursting with smiling faces! We must BE happy, because we LOOK happy. It's time to change that perception.

OUR SOLUTION: STAND AND (FINALLY!) BE COUNTED!

Get your Number! Stand and Finally Be Counted! One shirt, and you've joined a legion, and your season ticket immediately transforms from an endorsement of a corrupt system to a weapon to be employed toward its ultimate demise! You feel like a Victim, and so do those guys in the bleachers behind you. They'll see your shirt, and they will join you! The BCS will soon reject another deserving team, and in so doing create another stadium, campus, town, and state full of Victims! Players, students, alumni, and fans - Victims, all. And we have numbers for all of them!

And we are determined. Press releases have already gone out to hundreds of national, local, and student newspapers, targeting all of the millions of Non-BCS fans. We will number ourselves in the thousands, then the tens of thousands, and as the Victim presence grows in stadiums across the country (remember: we're paying them to be there!), the cameras will not be able to avoid broadcasting the BCS' shame to all corners of the nation. North bleachers: Victims! South bleachers: Victims! Student section: Victims! Visitors: Victims!

Your university presidents will see the throngs of Victims in their own keep, and action and change will inevitably follow. Just keep that shirt, and keep coming, until your team is promised EQUAL opportunity for a National Championship. Oh, and enjoy the game! Cheer away, because your shirt and your number will do the work for you. We'll win this fight with those smiles still on our faces!
